Growing Safe, Growing Strong
Join NWQICSS Boulia Community Support Service and our local and visiting partner organisations for a week of free, family-friendly events celebrating Child Protection Week 2026. Our program includes community BBQs, mindfulness activities, playgroup sessions, family fun events, school presentations, interactive emergency services display, creative art activities, obstacle course play, and a family superhero dress-up disco. Families will also receive a range of engaging children’s books and resources exploring topics such as body boundaries, consent, respect, emotional regulation, help-seeking and personal safety.
The week provides opportunities to meet local and visiting support services in relaxed, welcoming settings, helping families build relationships, discover available supports and have positive conversations about child safety and wellbeing. By combining education with fun, culturally inclusive activities, we hope to strengthen community connections, reduce isolation and empower children and families with the knowledge and confidence to seek help when needed.
