We expect around 1000 plus attendees at the REFOCUS Family Fun Day. This family-friendly community day will offer hands-on activities and cultural celebrations. These events will feature a variety of inclusive and engaging elements such as jumping castles, sausage sizzles, traditional face painting, Indigenous dancing, art workshops, yarning circles, and food stalls. We will also include Bright Bag donations, dili bags, and information booths to connect families with local support services.
A central feature of our celebration is the Community Art Project: “Safe Hands.” In this activity, children will trace and decorate their hands with drawings or messages about what makes them feel safe. These powerful artworks will be displayed in local schools, libraries, and community centers as a public reminder of every child’s right to safety and love.
