As part of Child Protection Week 2021, trained staff from Mercy, Uniting Care Community, Anglicare, Goolburri and Act for Kids are working together to deliver an in-school safety session.

The session will work with children in grades 2 and 3, and help them to identify five safe people they can talk to if they need help or something is wrong.

The session will be called “Who’s Your 5” and use the ‘Safe Hand’ so they can map their safe people out. The session includes other safety tips and actions that children can take when they are feeling unsafe, such as how to call triple zero and Kids Helpline.
