Remembrance Day provides an opportunity to come together to acknowledge the experiences of adult survivors of childhood abuse in institutional settings including out-of-home care. We gather to say, “Never Again.” 2024 marks 15 years since the national apology to Forgotten Australians. We will gather with this in mind as we reflect on past successes and look to the future to as we refocus our efforts to ensure that the legacy of past abuses is not forgotten and work towards reducing policy and service gaps for Forgotten Australians.
