The seminar is proposed to update clubs on how the responsibility to protect children is that of all in their organisation; ie, teachers/coach, other staff and management – and other customers, where applicable. The participants will workshop how those in the various roles at their club would have specific responsibilities – peculiar to their position; in additional to the ‘general’ responsibilities of all. All the various responsibilities – matched to the roles; will be documented – to be provided to all our clubs around Queensland. An emphasis will be on where it is necessary to ‘spot’ the child for their safety in learning certain skills.
