Gympie Central SS and the Gympie Central P&C partner with ‘True: Relationships and Reproductive Health’ to visit the school and present sexuality and personal safety sessions with all year level classes. Topics covered link to the Australian Curriculum- Health and are age appropriate. They include:

Respectful Relationships
These sessions help young children to have a better understanding of their own wellbeing and assist them to develop protective behaviours. The many benefits of relationship and sexuality education include supporting the development of a healthy self-esteem, a positive attitude towards sexuality, information to care for bodies and the development of skills to make healthy decisions.

The children receive small amounts of age appropriate, factual information in a gradual and ongoing process.
