As a part of Child Protection Week Tannum Sands Kindergarten will be hosting a Parent Information session by Women’s Health and Police Child Protection Unit.
As part of Child protection week, the Children will also be involved in various activities recognizing safe and unsafe environments and body warning signs.

We will also be having visits throughout the week from police (plus child protection unit), ambulance and fire brigade will occur to foster a sense of trust between emergency personnel, children and their families. Police (from child protection unit) will present a session on promoting safety and protective behaviors, by highlighting the importance of telling a trusted adult if a child feels unsafe.

All children will receive a storybook regarding Child Protection – “My Body, My Rules”.
