Under 5’s: Building Bright Futures for the Lockyer, is for children under 5 years and their families, making it the only event of its type in the Lockyer and region. This is the event’s 8th year and attracts families from all across the Lockyer and beyond. This year we are offering a range of activities for children including an animal nursery, live performances, messy and sensory play activities, emergency services, bubble play, a quiet zone, Lego and Duplo zone, and many service information stalls that use age-appropriate experiences creating a soft entry point. The aim of the event is to introduce families to protective factor elements such as community connection through sports clubs, dance or swimming, community services that provide supports, access and guidance around material basics and just encourages beautiful adult child interactions reinforcing connection and attachment.
