Over the month of August our kindergarten children across Townsville will be focusing on child relevant child protection during the learning programs. During these experiences and opportunities children will explore in depth with educators what and who makes them feel safe/ unsafe and most importantly who can we talk to and who can help us. We will be exploring safety concepts in a variety of ways ensuring each child’s developmental needs are met.

Towards the end of the month educators will support each child to express their ideas and capture their voice on a canvas. These creations will be shared in an online gallery for each centre. Each centre’s families and community will be invited to view the gallery. We will share these links with communities to ensure safety is maintained through Covid 19 restrictions.

These galleries will highlight Child Protection is Everybody’s business.

Goodstart Early Learning will showcase around 400 creations.
