Mura Kosker Sorority along with our partners; Queensland Police Service, Queensland Ambulance Service, State Fire and Emergency, Marine Rescue Qld, James Cook University, Torres Health Indigenous Corporation, Port Kennedy Association, Child Safety and a range of other non-government and government organisations have come together to plan an action-packed Family Fun Day hosted on Thursday Island, kicking off with a Free Community Color Fun Run concluding at the ANZAC Memorial Park where there will be a range of activities and information stalls set-up for families/children/elders to come together to celebrate QLD Child Protection Week as well as learning about the importance and significance of the day and how “Protecting children is everyone’s business” and “it takes a village to raise a child”.
