On Tuesday 7th September 930 to 1130, a child-friendly event will be held at Atherton Community Centre, 38 Mabel St.  The event will provide an opportunity for families and carers with children under 8yrs to source information on and participate in activities that develop:

• secure attachment with carer
•  social connection to community
• understanding of local Indigenous culture and
• the value of cultural diversity within a community.

Better Together Community Centre will partner with local organisations to host the event and distribute  a ‘show-bag’ full of resources that enhance the learning from the event.

A Covid Safety Plan will be implemented.  In the scenario that the event needs to be changed to meet lockdown or social distancing restrictions, Better Together will liaise with partnering organisations to create and upload videos of original planned activities plus distribute the ‘show bags’ via a COVID safe drive through arrangement or networks.
