This event will reflect the aims and the themes of Child Protection Week, “Protecting Children is everyone’s business”, by attracting community members to the day’s activities and information sessions , thereby spreading the message throughout the community that child abuse and neglect is a community wide issue requiring community wide action. The events are also designed to raise awareness of the services and help available for the community, as well as equip parents and carers with the skills to understand child abuse and take action against it. There will be information stalls and guest speakers at the event. Promotional materials will be provided for example t-shirts, pens, water bottles and lanyards.
