Our Open afternoon will showcase our beautiful centre, with opportunities for families to meet with staff and ask questions about the Kindergarten program, look through our Child Protection Week displays highlighting community organisations that can support families in their parenting role and pamphlets highlighting child safety, including NAPCAN, safety information about cots, prams etc, DV organisations, police and emergency services, and information and stories that deal with talking to children about their bodies and boundaries around this. We also have information about keeping children safe online. Families will spend time looking through the centre and the playground and pause for a chat while their children play. We have invited a face painter and the police van and artwork created by currently enrolled children around the theme of feeling safe will be hung, gallery style for families to observe. Remaining artwork will be hung in the local library to support the spread of knowledge around child protection and highlight our commitment to keeping children safe.
